Game Freeze due to any change

Hi,
When in a game and I do anything not directly related to the playing the whole game freezes:

- clicking top right any of the 2 buttons (to change in game setting or check who the enemies are) 

- Windows button

- Doing anything else on my PC

Also at the end of the game, I do not get the end game score screen.

Several clean reinstall did not help.

What settings should I change?

Back in the days with the normal CD install i did not have any of those problems.
