I didn't. Those all come from official releases of the game. I didn't include ANY unofficial content in my patch.

Well, you kinda need to know the whole theory behind colour palettes and palette-index-only sprite graphics to get this -_-
-
No, you didn't bump an old topic, DarkVen9109 did, meaning it was now on top again. Not your fault
-
did you also INSTALL as administrator, and make sure all files actually belong to the user you run it with?

Welcome, Swisha

I think the latest version still has mix editor in its folder. It's just not in the launch menu anymore. I really don't see why he removed it.

LOL. That's because the remap range from C&C SHP files isn't the same as RA. You need to convert them to Red Alert palette to make them work correctly. A similar bug happens with Red Alert's 'wooden' crate. You'll notice it has exactly the same colour. That's because it was copied from C&C1 instead of converted correctly.

Flame Dancers has its own exe file, so unless you use that, the flame turrets won't actually work, and your tech tree won't be adapted to suit the missions. So yeah, not much use running it that way.

That specific error is just caused by the 640x400 resolution though. Open rasetup.exe and switch to 640x480. Rather than using compatibility mode, though, I advise using cnc-ddraw.

Haha... then they probably don't have enough money at the start -- I just checked... they have exactly $2000. So if they use that to make even a single minigunner, the refinery would never be rebuilt I absolutely hated the randomness in that mission; the only way to win it was sandbag ALL of the village. I edited that mission for my patch to remove the blossom tree from the village and put it in the nearby tiberium field, to at least make it a bit less stupid. I mean, the objective is clearly to protect the villagers from Nod... not from being retarded.

Yeah, you kinda need a 3D video card.
-
Um, these links don't work either MrFlibble. They redirect to the main page unless you copy & paste them :| How did you get to the links, btw? The ftp listing doesn't list directories, and the site makes me suspect the redirecting is because the original listings were shown in frames. I honestly don't see why the url tag would make a distinction between protocols anyway... it should work with irc:// too in my opinion.

Heh. Really, 90% of all people do that, and not just with games or mods. In any creative process, even a little feedback is an incredible confidence boost to the author though. Just knowing people enjoy it makes it all worth it
-
PCI is not a video card. It's a connector type for a whole array of card types (not limited to video cards) on the motherboard. We need to know what you got plugged into it.
-
yes, and you copied this corrupted bbcode to the PPM forum, where ftp links DO work correctly
-
"2 criteria" generally means both need to be true

I generally use date format YYYYMMDD because it automatically sorts by date in alphabetical sorting. Crazy Yank date system is MM/DD/YYYY, as opposed to DD/MM/YYYY. Sortable date is just normal day-month-year reversed.

Yo. You got an impossible date as name?

I kinda got "Global Moderator" under my name

Red Alert: Aftermath, hardcore AI mod updated
Nyerguds replied to mrgreenno1's topic in Modding Discussion
That seems quite weird to me, seeing as C&C1 has no base building AI whatsoever. -
oh wow, the old skynet.be mirror is still up? That's good to know! [edit] Goddammit, what's with these links? FTP links work when you Preview, but when you save it puts 'http' before them :ranting:

Think? I don't 'think' he's a legend, I KNOW he is. I didn't even know he wrote a RA1 mission making manual. Andrew Griffin made the first map and mission editor (CC-SCEN), AND the first unit/building/etc. stats data editor (CCEDIT) for C&C1. Him and Vladan Bato (who documented C&C file formats and made the first mix file editor) are pretty much the grandfathers of C&C modding.

This topic has been moved to The Radar Dome. [iurl]http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1903.0[/iurl]

Sorry, would "RTFM" have been friendlier? Anyway, moved to the Radar Dome, since this really is just a mapping/mission making question.
