What about the -Win parameter? No worries about origin, the cncnet client will launch the game in a different way and there won't be any origin problems
-
What installation do you use? Do you have the original cds?
-
Start the yuri cncnet installer, click "Browse" and select your game folder. Then hit OK, then Next >

The file/site is clean, not even 1 false detection on virustotal.com, something must be wrong on your end. Try to turn paranoid detections in your security programs off to make sure those will only alert you if there was really a virus found Scan results: https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/84c00c6bf548aa0b9acdc68b5576433a1b04256c6ee30254e1590c9398de54de/analysis/1425099959/

That problem with the running process is actually well known for origin, it happens for many of their games and I should update my patch to add a check for that to ensure everything is working About the red alert 1 patch: Scan results are 0/57 on virustotal, so you either have a anti virus program which is not listed on virtustotal.com or you did enable some kind of paranoid detection settings in your anti virus program. What anti virus program do you have? https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/84c00c6bf548aa0b9acdc68b5576433a1b04256c6ee30254e1590c9398de54de/analysis/1425099959/

It should work with any installation CDs/First Decade/Ultimate Collection
-
That option is forced and you cannot change it, most of the players hate when someone leaves and they have to waste their time playing against a computer player It was considered very rude to press abort instead of resign and that's why it has been changed to resign automatically
-
Really? wtf, I thought the game had no 16bit version at all
-
I actually have all files needed in a zip file, was about to make a patch but I don't have the CD so i wasn't sure if the game is installable on a 64bit system or not. If it is not installable then my patch would need to take care of that too

Why Color enforces starting locations in Terrace?
FunkyFr3sh replied to GhostDog's topic in Tiberian Sun
Colors decides the houses in ts just like in red alert. Not sure if the spawning logic is the same tho. The lowest color will become house1, then second lowest house2 etc.. house1 got the biggest distance to house2, house3 got the biggest distance to house4 -
If he has to restore the file then it is not turned off and probably still blocking it, you should try to turn it off

Everything that is written in the chat lobby is logged by default and saved in your game folder, there are no logs on the server at all. The in-game chat is not logged in the game folder
-
No, it is not stored anywhere

Just noticed you wrote "update.exe", such a file should not exist, where you got the installer from? Older versions from more than a year ago had a ra1update.exe. Maybe you should try to get the latest version from here http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/
-
Maybe try to install it to a different folder, could be some weird char in the path that breaks the command line (saw that before)
-
Yes I like it, I always wanted to add some cool spectator features like showing live stats of units/buildings bought/Destroyed and other things. I have not done much TS patches tho, so i cannot tell if it is possible atm. Iran and CChyper know much more about TS than me

Are the other buttons in the game launcher working? Play Offline/Map Editors?
-
Without error logs there is no way anyone can ever help you to solve the problem, check this thread here: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3545.0

That is normal when the unit limit was reached, you need to right click the icon all the time and once a unit was destroyed you will be able to produce one again, except someone else was clicking faster on it than you
-
Do you have the game installed? I think Westwood/RA2 is just the default folder the installer is showing if it couldn't find the game folder on your pc automatically. You will have to browse to the game folder manually in this case What kind of installation do you have?
-
yes that works, the game folders are fully portable

MISSING MENU BUTTONS, BLACK SCREEN when Alt+Tab at Yuri on Windows 8.1
FunkyFr3sh replied to Smiley's topic in Red Alert 2
That is normal, the xwis version fails cause the filenames have been changed and windows fails to detect the game as Red Alert 2 and it cannot apply the automatic compat settings. If the filenames are corret then the buttons will show up but you cannot alt-tab since the compat settings are breaking this feature. There is no solution for it yet -
You will always need to have the game, I don't think EA is going to release red alert 2 as freeware anytime soon
