Yuri Cncnet running from write protected directory Win10

Question

Hello,

Running yuri CNCnet on windows 10, probably latest version since auto-update on. Keep getting message that cncnet is running from write protected directory. Everything is installed on my main drive.

I have followed a guide all the way through on lifewire to remove write protection and am still getting this error. I have also disabled my norton virus scanner as well.

The game crashes whenever I try to leave a skirmish session, but then goes back to cncnet after I kill the yuri process via task manager.

I got a copy of the game from cdkeys >> origin

Move your installation out of program files to something like My documents. Alternatively run the client as administrator.

      Hello, I bought the Command & Conquer Ultimate Collection on Origin but like some of you may have already heard, when I try to play Red Alert 2 it doesn't even launch. I'm on Windows 10, I have already installed the CnCNet application and tried some options I found online but nothing seems to work. I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with it.   Thanks!

      Hi community,
      the last week i was playing a few qm's. Today I wated to login again but it is not possible for me. I don't see the login dialog. Instead it's firing up a message instructing me to create a ladder account, which i already have. I am adding a screen down below. Is the request to the server stuck or something?

      Thx in advance.

      I'm trying to create a portable version of RA2, so I want to eliminate the registration for Blowfish.dll. I found a link from @Iran where @FunkyFr3sh described a method here:
      https://ppmforums.com/topic-41629/using-blowfishdll-without-registration-no-admin-rights/
      But the example there is dead, and I can't seem to produce a manifest that works. MT.exe gave me this:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <file name="blowfish.dll" hashalg="SHA1"> <comClass clsid="{1440AD10-6AA8-11D1-B6F9-00A024DDAFD1}" tlbid="{E7F91750-8861-11D1-B707-00A024DDAFD1}" description="Blowfish encryption algorithm"></comClass> <typelib tlbid="{E7F91750-8861-11D1-B707-00A024DDAFD1}" version="1.0" helpdir="" flags="HASDISKIMAGE"></typelib> </file> <comInterfaceExternalProxyStub name="IBlockCipher" iid="{E0113100-6A7C-11D1-B6F9-00A024DDAFD1}" tlbid="{E7F91750-8861-11D1-B707-00A024DDAFD1}" proxyStubClsid32="{E0113100-6A7C-11D1-B6F9-00A024DDAFD1}"> </comInterfaceExternalProxyStub> </assembly> But it does nothing. I'd be grateful for any help.
