  1. Hello - some custom maps will need to be setup correctly. It might just be you don't have the correct settings for the map you're trying to play.
  2. How are you making your custom map, are you editing any additional files alongside the map file?
  3. Hello, We need some additional information to help you out. In order for us to work out your issue, we will require your client.log file. Please attach it to your reply. Finding your client.log file: Navigate to your Red Alert 2 folder. This is where CnCNet is installed. Look for the folder called "Client" Inside this folder, there will be a file called client.log
  4. https://mentalomega.com - most likely get more support for MO here. Failing that please do the following...
  5. Hello, If you are experiencing slow or choppy gameplay whilst playing on CnCNet, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. Install the CnCNet client This will look for your existing game directory. Once installed run CnCNetYRLauncher.exe or the shortcut supplied. Click "Options" Select "Display" and under the render options, select a new renderer. Commonly, TS-DDRAW works best. Click Save, and launch Skirmish. Play a game with the AI. If the gameplay is fast then this renderer will likely be the best for you. If it hasn't worked, repeat from step 5 until you find a renderer that works best with your system. Failing the above, ensure your video drivers are up-to-date. You are running a suitable resolution the game can handle.

  7. Hello, Has this just started to happen or are you new to CnCNet? Try deleting the file called "version" from your game directory (Where CnCNet is installed) and restarting the client.
  8. Hello, You're almost in the right place, the C&C communities like ours will know a lot more than EA tech support. Unfortunately we're not really the best guys to ask about Generals and Zero hour. The best place on support for Red Alert 3, General, Zero Hour and anything newer than Yuri's Revenge is C&C Online. You can take a look here to see which games we support - https://cncnet.org/download Let us know how you get on
  9. Look's great, just featured your video on our Facebook & Twitter page.
  10. Can you go to client options -> display, and tell me which renderer you are using please?
  11. Hello, Could you please provide what renderer option you are using? Go to client options, display tab and tell us the name selected.
  12. Could you try going into client options, and selecting TS-DDRAW at the bottom of the list? And retrying.
  13. This makes me think you are not on the latest version of the client at all. Please update to the latest 4.07 release. There is an updated installer you can use if you need to reinstall - https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet5_YR_Installer.exe
  14. Remove any ddraw.dll's you have in your game directory (One's that you copied in etc) Try choosing a different renderer available in the client options. There's no need to copy files manually from places as the CnCNet client gives you these options in the client to stop you having to do that stuff. The best available renderer options are in the client. Experimenting with a renderer is simple, just open up the main CnCNet Yuri's Revenge client. Click Options > Display, and under the game renderers option select one and save. Then go to a skirmish game and see if it works best for you. Don't forget to try windowed mode too.
  15. You would have to ping @Speeder on that as he maintains any releases of MO.
  16. Could you try going to your task manager, and manually ending clientdx.exe when it prompts for waiting for client to exit, and see if that works?
  17. 4.07 Fix: Kicking players out of a game causing the client to crash. @Rampastring
  18. Yeah so some custom maps will error like that if they are not properly configured. Unless you know the configuration for the map you're best bet is to find a different map, or ask someone how to set it up who may know on the forums. It's worth checking however, that you and your friend you can play a non survival map (Go to Game Type dropdown > select Battle, and choose an official map to play on as a test)
  19. Yes that should be the latest installer.
  20. Is it a custom map or an official one that crashes?
  21. Should be fixed in latest version of the client (4.04 onwards) Closing this.
  22. Can you try the latest installer from the downloads section on the site? It should have OpenGL support?
  23. Possible fix in the latest 4.06, please check and report back thanks
