  1. Actually, I was the one who uploaded the RA expansion CDs. Not sure what went wrong with that Aftermath one, though; the one I uploaded was a complete working rip O_o
  2. What was released as freeware version was basically just a zipped folder of a No-CD "The first Decade" install of Tiberian Sun + Firestorm, with an included .reg file to get the registry settings right. Given the fact EA made it freeware, though, it should be legal to distribute the original CDs too. But they never released them. These are the official releases, as archived by archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20100214144634/http://www.commandandconquer.com/classic
  3. Maybe the r2 is just the crack's version?
  4. Heh, spy logic. Would be neat, but not sure if it'd work on friendly buildings.

    [suggestion]

It will make it impossible to moderate, though.
  6. I think I might have one that's based on ingame screenshots to get all the positioning right, but IIRC it rocks around a bit even ingame, so there's no avoiding that.
  7. Ehh. You mean all your frames are on one single PNG? Because I also wrote a guide for that. If you mean your radar logo is a single frame instead of an animation, then you're Doing It Wrong. The SHP file needs to have all its frames, or it'll bug out when the logo changes to the radar minimap. That's why I said to start from the original.
  8. Step 1. Know what is inside your own PC. Step 2. Google drivers for it.
  9. if cncnet gets it working, then it should be possible... I don't think any of the actual edits to the game executable itself are compatibility related. The compatibility is all taken care of with external means. in fact, these things should already be in the folder. The only thing that could make a difference is the exe compatibility, and perhaps the game config file?
  10. If you have the full game, they are in the game. You just need to freaking run the game  If you do not have the full game, then the answer to "can you get this in the game?" is definitely "no". The devs could add a button on the launcher for it, but that won't magically give you the actual missions if you downloaded the stripped XWIS version. CnCNet will not distribute those missions. As I said, that'd be illegal since the game is not freeware.
  11. I thought cncnet used its own separate modified executables, and didn't touch any original files?
  12. Can we add "poor grammar" as valid reason for banning? Pleeeease?

    screw it

Why are you posting about DTA in the RA2 forum? That's kind of the way to get topics moved/removed.
  14. You're welcome. I archived the entire Westwood site from around '97 from archive.org, and though the ladders were outside the scope of that project, I spent ample time exploring these subdomains as well
  15. Man, what bullshit is that? If you want to play the single player game, just start the freaking game, and not cncnet...
  16. Damn Tore's Goth battlecruisers. They have foiled me many times! Luckily, Tore is known to surrender when you send an empty APC to his base  I wasn't talking about Yuri's Revenge. Also,
  17. *You're Wow. You print this and leave such a gigantic blooper right on the front page. Doesn't promise well for the grammatical quality of its contents
  18. Or, y'know. Don't play them out of order. Start with Dune II, and git gud without even multi-unit select or context sensitive mouse cursor
  19. No, the download at xwis is multiplayer-only...
  20. Then... resize it? Basic rule of all modding is to start from the original stuff and edit it. This is especially true for graphics and animations that need to fit back into the game UI. I personally wouldn't try to actually set the multi3 radar logo though. Even if you're using them in a mission, it seems safer to use the ini key to override the logo. That way you can give it any extension you want, too. Why not? What goes wrong? Are they 256-colour? Did you use the correct palettes? Did you read the conversion guides I posted in the tutorials section? Why on earth does it say "cc95inf.mdl" as "saved game file"? That's the file you're supposed to be editing with it; it should always point to C&C95.exe. Remember, UGE is originally a customizable savegame editor; it just uses C&C95 as "savegame" to edit. The instructions in the readme should tell you how to set that up; you shouldn't ever have to change that in the editor. As long as you don't mount the UGE folder itself as a bare drive (rather, mount the "dosstuff" one) UGE should be able to find C&C95.exe in the C&C95 parent folder you put it in.
  21. It's on games.westwood.com, not on games2 I suggest looking through here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://games.westwood.com/* Found these so far: C&C ladder page - Actual ranking pages RA1 ladder page - Actual ranking pages RA1: Aftermath ladder page - Actual ranking pages TS Nod ladder ranking page
  22. I should look through the old RA mods I got lying around. I'm sure there's one in there somewhere...
  23. I'm fairly sure that's the same thing...
  24. well, you could try manually fiddling with the options inside aqrit.cfg; see if you can make it work better.
  25. Add them to what, exactly? Red Alert 2 is not freeware. We can't offer downloads of the actual game files; it's simply illegal.
