I believe this functionality was specifically disabled because we got flooded with spambots.

Ohhh, the house logos. They're SHP files, inside updatec.mix I think. They're called "HRADAR.???", with the short house code as extension. These house codes are in the houses ini file as "ShortName". So, HRADAR.GDI / HRADAR.NOD / HRADAR.JP These logos can actually be customized in missions: the dinosaur campaign in v1.06 gives the JP logo simply because the missions have the line RadarLogo=JP in the [basic] section of the missions. Incidentally, this is explained in the patch manual (you should try out the radar logos "WW" and "EA" ) It's a pity their animations don't really work anymore on modern systems. It's gone in a split second.

Hmm. The DDWrapper one normally solves that. Isn't that available in the options?

the red alert 2 page download the wrong installer
Nyerguds replied to CerfPlains6's question in Support
Cncnet online play uses the Yuri's Revenge game engine for both Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge online play. So you need Yuri's Revenge to play CnCNet RA2. Do note that the download there is not the game, but only the CnCNet installer: Red alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are not freeware, and cannot be legally offered as download. -
The ccconfig "Limit the Frame rate" option corresponds with the "Maxfps" key in ddraw.ini. The frame rate is limited when any value is set in the ini, but if you edit the ini itself you can obviously fine-tune it. This is mostly for the fast scroll bug, though, since scrolling in the game is (unfortunately) related to the refresh speed. Note that due to the config tool being developed on XP, it removes all compatibility modes on C&C95.exe on save (since that worked best on XP). As far as I know, the cursor disappearing issue is fixed by enabling Win95 compat mode, so try re-enabling that after using the tool.

XD *checks IP and email* Would that be the UK or New Zealand?
-
UGE has all data in decimal, but, isn't the "fires twice" option simply in there for all units? What do you man with "radar icons"?
-
Yeeah, that's how changing things in ini format works?
-
Hmm. Gotta try that. Would be a ridiculously simple solution. Though, that does leave the matter of actually getting it running.

Really? The lack of color makes it seem like it's winter anyway

Map cannot be uploaded to the database of CnCNet
Nyerguds replied to AC_0's topic in CnCNet Discussion
Wrong kind of line breaks? Peculiar. wonder if that's about the map or about the server. -
As Funky said, try changing the "Renderer" line to gdi.
-
Not sure... did hifi ever release the code of that? Fairly sure "configure" would mean "debug and fix in code"
-
Yea, sure. You just add them; BIOICNH.TEM / WIN / DES / SNO. But as mentioned before, the game is prone to errors and crashes when switching theaters if those kinds of icons are loaded from sc*.mix files, so it's best to put them in the specific theater-icons mixfiles where they belong. In fact, for the bio lab, tomsoms26 and I made something not too long ago: http://www.ppmforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=14518#550587 Note that I probably only included a .tem and .des icon in there, since temperate uses the same palette as winter and snow, so to get those, you just make two copies of the .tem one and rename their extensions.

I remade that once, but I think the exe has changed so much in my patch since then that I'd have to remake it all over again, lol. http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/mods/downloads/

Map cannot be uploaded to the database of CnCNet
Nyerguds replied to AC_0's topic in CnCNet Discussion
There's a specific "CnCNet Discussions" forum... and this is a CnCNet issue, not something related to creating maps. Moved. -
Who really cares about those scores anyway? lol. TS missions often gave you like, 300% score and weird shit like that.
-
Man, I'm joking. I suck at multiplay, lol. Rushing to superweapon must be the weirdest and silliest strat one could think of I haven't played multiplay in ages, but when I do play online, I usually go for silly fun anyway. Like, Mobile HQ mode with crates enabled, or waiting 10 minutes to let each player build up a fortress

Divatox: I split your post to a new topic and moved it to Mapping. There was no reason at all to post that in here.
-
Topic split off. What on earth made you think it was a good idea to ask about Tiberian Sun mission scripting in a topic that clearly dealt with Tiberian Dawn modding?

I am the best Tiberian Dawn player. Fear my superweapon rush

Brand new Tutorial for new map makers: CREATE YOUR OWN MODS!
Nyerguds replied to Holland's topic in Modding tutorials
Yup. Though I did add a configurable capturability parameter for buildings in missions in C&C95 with my patch, and customizable house colours, but those features are both disabled for multiplayer. -
And that's only a stripped version to play online with. Doesn't even have music...

Brand new Tutorial for new map makers: CREATE YOUR OWN MODS!
Nyerguds replied to Holland's topic in Modding tutorials
Not in Tiberian Dawn. Both the rules.ini system and the modding-in-mission-files system were introduced in Red Alert 1. TibEd's Tiberian Dawn support is completely artificial. TibEd reads the binary data from the C&C95.exe file and converts it to ini text just so the TibEd system can handle it, but the game itself can not read such ini data at all.
