  1. wait, what's the point of playing the game if you "don't want to play through the entire nod campaign"? Or was that where you were before? You can kinda transfer savegames, if you're smart enough to back them up first. That said, as Jacko indicated, I got savegame packs on my site
  2. Is your game folder inside Program Files?
  3. You don't, uh, need an unofficial patch to change the resolution in RA2 (or TS, for that matter). All you need to do is edit the game's configuration .ini file in the game folder. ra2.ini / ra2md.ini As for the odd colours... the graphics system patch DDWrapper is known to solve a multitude of graphics problems. http://www.bitpatch.com/ddwrapper.html Download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and try running the game again.
  4. I think the first one looks the best Though to really compare them you'd need them rotating, and on actual size.
  5. Dammit people, just include it in the downloads For the record... I keep a collection online: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/manuals/
  6. Um. What would be the use of that, on a game of which the DRM is "you need to be online at all times"?
  7. Well, same goes for TS Platinum. Doesn't the Premier Edition include an extras DVD or soundtrack or something though? I mean, there's gotta be something making it a special edition.
  8. Topic moved. Mission making related stuff should be put in mapping, and not modding. What game are you talking about, by the way? These forums are general, not game-specific. If this is C&C1, I doubt you can put multiple prerequisites on one triggered action, except for "allow win".
  9. This topic has been moved to Mapping Discussion. [iurl]https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=7356.0[/iurl]

No need for a new topic. It doesn't show up any differently from a new unread post anyway.
  11. If I ever implement this I'm considering changing the ini format to include an origin X and Y (which default to 0), so that the grids with negative offsets can also be represented graphically. [edit] ini file updated
  12. It's all in the game manual. People should really bother reading it...

  14. You don't. The presence of that list isn't what actually determines that a building can eject units. There's a fair bit more internal hardcoding involved apparently. These exit cells are a link to a list of relative cell positions around the building that units can go to after exiting. They're actually more part of the building's foundation shape than of the build logic, and shouldn't be edited unless you change a building's shape. You can find all those shapes here, btw: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/inirules/grids.ini The only things that work in terms of expanding production to new buildings is that any building can be set to produce buildings, since it doesn't require anything exiting, and the repair pad can produce helicopters, since it has the same unit docking logic. Though obviously it can't reload them.
  15. That almost looks like that one C&C1 cutscene... (GameSurge needs a Las Vegas server )
  16. That whole composition looks very familiar http://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-dawn/images/eva-v10-decoding-complete#imagebox
  17. Well, given the fact that on modern systems the animation is gone in a split second, it doesn't matter much :-\
  18. Maybe a system to ping an inactive host that gives an audio message at their side, and then some system that sees if those pings aren't responded to?
  19. Isn't that related to the windows display scaling?
  20. 1. I did mention that, actually: Seems the reason is just to you can open the menu and select "open from mix". Though it's actually originally a CD file 2. Yes, XCC Editor is a C&C1 editor. Nothing more, nothing less. 3. Don't think any specific XCc Editor manual exists, but, the basic stuff you need to know about triggers and waypoints and teams and all that is in this file: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cncstuff/cctxt/ccmanual.txt
  21. If you want to collect the old DOS C&C patches... here they are: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cncstuff/patches/cnc1dos/ Do note, on C&C95, the first two bugs I linked to with images in my post are both inevitable (especially against enemy stealth tanks) and completely game breaking (crash to desktop), so it's really not advised to play C&C95 without my patch. You can configure it to play 100% like the original game anyway, in terms of behaviour and screen resolution.
  22. Your problem here is that you're confusing the DOS and the Windows 95 versions of the game. They have separate version numbers. C&C95 v1.04 is the windows port of the game, made on the code base of DOS C&C v1.22, so basically, these two can be considered identical in version. DOS C&C v1.22 = C&C95 v1.04. C&C95 (aka C&C Gold, aka C&C Windows '95 Edition) never received any official patches; the actual game patching was all done at the time they did the port to Windows. (The XP fix isn't a real patch either; it doesn't change the version, and it basically just disables LAN instead of fixing it) The installer of the Covert Operations is, likewise, a DOS installer, though as far as I know it should work on C&C95. Not that it matters; as you said, copying the two sc*.mix files does the trick. And indeed, on DOS C&C the rest of the installation process is just that it applies the v1.20 patch. However, for playing C&C95 I advise simply installing the unofficial 1.06 patch instead. It will give you bug fixes, mission fixes, high resolution, No-CD capability, modern OS support, and includes all the game's official bonus missions: the Covert Operations, the originally secret dinosaur campaign, and the originally console-exclusive Special Operations from the Playstation and Nintendo 64 versions. All of these will appear in the New Missions menu. Click the banner in my signature to get it
