  1. Sorry, I recently lost all such files I downloaded in a big disk crash. Even if I still got it, it lost its name so it'd take a while to find it.
  2. click the "snowpatroliv.mpr" under the post to download it, duh.

    lost maps

Topic moved. The maps forum is for posting maps, not for requests like this.
  4. This topic has been moved to Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge. [iurl]https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=7476.0[/iurl]
  5. Haven't seen much C&C1 or RA1 modding there, to be honest Besides this place I'm on CNCNZ, and occasionally on PPM. There used to be so many... the Planet C&C forum, RADen, the RA Techcenter, C&C World... now all gone or defunct. And the C&C Communications Center forum, of course, which quite recently got absorbed in, and renamed to, the CnCNet forum
  6. No one is going to pay attention to that text, you know...
  7. Win95/98 compatibility mode automatically restricts it to one core, I think.
  8. No need to post two topics about this. Merged.
  9. It's an engine problem. The engine simply isn't meant to handle that many units. Lowering the resolution helps, since it's generally the amount of objects on the screen at the same time that causes the issues. People should just learn to use the minimap again

    GDI Missions 15

I moved this topic... the maps forum is for posting actual game maps.
  11. This topic has been moved to Command & Conquer (Tiberian Dawn) / Covert Operations. https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=7454.0
  12. Capturing the base is already hard, and then there's the gunboat too; you can either put effort into killing it, or be very careful to avoid it with the Orca. Not to mention the fact you start with split forces. The first time I did this I actually just went straight for the helipad and ignored the rest, fending off units from the rest of the base while making the runs. But capturing their refinery and taking over the whole base is a lot easier. If I remember correctly, there are some odd rules on the engineer deaths/usage in this mission, too; something about losing if you have none of your original engineers left unless you captured the helipad. It meant I had to be really careful with my engineers, since putting my last engie in the barracks made the mission fail, despite that allowing me to build the additional engineer needed to take over the helipad
  13. I don't think it'd crash on characters included in standard Windows-1252 text encoding, actually. I know all TS fonts are based on it, so chances are RA2 is the same.
  14. you sure TFD is not affected? It also uses CD protection; unless you install no-dvd cracks, none of the games run without the DVD.
  15. oh, I love that icon! And nice to see those graphics ingame at last
  16. Not sure I see your point... especially since you're posting this on a forum aimed pretty much exclusively at playing the classic C&C Games.
  17. Good luck with the "capture the Orca" mission

    GDI Missions 15

lol, yes. Those rivers make no sense at all As for increasing map size... there's been research into it, but it'd mean rewriting all building foundations and game logics to use a new width. Currently, everything counts on "one cell down" = cell+64 and "one cell up" = cell-64. Gigantic amounts of hardcoded stuff. Not to mention all existing maps would be incompatible without adding a specific conversion logic... and there'd be no map editor for this new format anyway.

Just for fitting the maps together... how about this one? (version with original map border indications)

    GDI Missions 15

lol... I remember once fitting them together without any adapting, but it required rotating the A mission to get the Nod temple on the same place. What's up with the grey conyard dead centre? xD Wait, did you make that in CCWMAP? The units are all red, lol.
  21. I forgot about the 6 silos in the EA mission. Those things are a hilarious way of stealing money from the enemy. You just capture them, sell them (making sure to convert the money to credits or store it in your own silos), wait for the enemy to rebuild and refill them, and repeat. You can get insanely much money in no time with that.
  22. And EA and EB have that annoying starting island bridge thing.
