Is this about RA1? There's nothing in the post giving any hints... Also, wrong forum. This is mapping related, not modding.
-
Well, there's barely any obstacles between your starting position and their second conyard, so in that aspect it's actually the easiest one. Though the bastards do rebuild them, so capture and sell, while it could be profitable when they rebuild, won't actually get rid of it.

Command & Conquer: Dawn of Tomorrow teaser thread
Nyerguds replied to Kilkakon's topic in Modding Discussion
I positioned the camera at the right angle and then rotated the model over 32 frames Which is kind of... how all C&C1 graphics were made. Don't really see how that's so amazing or surprising -
Really? I believe Hyper once told me it was a problem in all C&C games. Mind you, in C&C1 the actual problem wasn't that the resolution was bigger than the map. It only crashed when moving your mouse over area that was literally not map cells anymore. The context sensitive mouse cursor trying to evaluate a nonexisting cell was what made it crash.

I should really complete the N64 campaign folders in there. I got all missions... it's just a matter of making all the pics and seeing which ones are actually modified compared to the PC campaign.
-
I'm fairly sure Aqrit's ddwrapper fixes that. Download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and launch the game again. Could also be due to the DPI scaling thing. Make sure to disable display scaling on the games.
-
btw, if you're interested... I got an archive of all map pics here, including al special missions, and including campaign selection maps: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cncstuff/mappics/ (It's the original game data though, without the patch involved. You'll see scg05ea is still the original, namely the near-duplicate of scg5wa, and the hidden variant is still on its original inaccessible filename, namely, scg05eb)
-
Ooh, please do post it! I love watching campaign playthroughs If you haven't got it yet... do install the 1.06 patch; it fixes a bunch of issues in the game, including mission bugs and crashes. Not to mention it unlocks an originally inaccessible variant of mission #5. [edit] nevermind; I see you already got it
-
oh, probably. I'm just wondering if it'd remove the airstrike after the shot or not. If it was never meant to be possible in the game, chances are it could go wrong, is all I'm saying
-
There's literally no way to take away the airstrike superweapon from a player. The triggers to do that simply don't exist in the game. No idea what the result would be when picking up an airstrike crate when you got perma-airstrike, though...
-
Maybe people who are busy playing games aren't listed? It says "players", not "players in the lobby".
-
Um. You don't? Why would you want to mod CnCNet? Mod the games instead.

Sadly, cncworld.org is pretty dead, though. But, hi, Trav! Been a while.

What Games Do You Play On Your Smartphone?
Nyerguds replied to UltmaWepn's topic in General Discussion
Wow. I thought you were an old man stuck in old ways before... Apparently nothing has changed. Except, we're all older. lol. It was actually more of a practical issue; I really needed a new cellphone, since the old one broke, but I'd have to update to a new (smaller) sim card for a smartphone, and didn't really have the time to figure out where I could find a shop that can do that. Didn't know you were still around, by the way! Good to see you -
Airstrikes are deceptive in C&C1, though; the planes often don't spread out properly, making up to three or even four planes fly exactly the same route and thus making them look like a single plane. I'm not entirely sure what would determine the amount of planes in multiplayer, but knowing Westwood, it could be something as dumb as the perceived "mission number" as derived off the map number. They actually did stuff like that
-
If I remember correctly it's simply a matter of not having a resolution that's larger than the map you play on.
-
I know it's sensitive to the trigger-side when put on a celltrigger, so it should be possible.
-
Well, a lot such companies have general agreements with the affected publishers to allow fan content. I know the T-shirt website WeLoveFine released an enormous amount of My Little Pony fan designs (the MLP:FIM art community is insanely large and productive) because they have an agreement with Hasbro about it. It's win-win for everyone involved; fans get money for their design being sold as official merchandise, and the rights holder gets a share of the money. I don't think any of these were from the C&C3-> C&C1 mod though. The design of that one with the soldiers was based on a showcase render of the Tiberian Dawn mod's infantry, but the actual used graphics were the original C&C1 graphics, as per the original joke picture I made.

Airstrikes? Scary. Means you can more or less win with a superweapon rush, because, if the airstrike itself doesn't do the job already, an airstrike plus another superweapon is pretty much guaranteed to take out a CY. Not even mentioning the fact the cheap HQ will help you a nice step into that superweapon rush.

Those RA1 gameplay ones are pretty neat... but what really caught my eye was the Dune II Westwood logo. Wow. Pixelly goodness! Looks lovely on desert-sandy yellow, too. I just have to wonder how legal that all is. This one is odd, though... https://www.redbubble.com/people/monukenokara/works/14320621-command-and-conquer-95-logo That's not C&C95 at all; that image is based on the icon of the Windows 3.11 launcher "rungame.exe" of DOS C&C  Given the actual resolution of the game, it's also a bit TOO low-res, for my tastes :boring:

That's still pretty ridiculously big for a game designed for 800x600.
