  1. i could never get fullRA+ to install properly , TFD version will work to run a game in compatibility mode: right click -> properties -> compatibility then just tick the run as admin box and/or tick the compatibility box and in the drop down box select win 98
  2. Have tried setting compatibility mode to win 98 And running the program as admin? (i know win 7 tries to guess compatibility but i have never seen it work, i have alway had to override it manually) The only other thing you could try is reinstalling in compatibility mode and running it as admin
  3. Found your problem, the logo in the top left corner there, yup thought so, its terminal im afraid... (i never miss a chance to blatantly slag off any thing apple, don't take it personally ) As for solutions, the only thing i could suggest is reinstalling xcc, ive never see this problem before edit: problem sounded better than error

  5. word of warning, while the heil carrier code works perfectly, the german version of the game contains a crippling graphical bug which will crash the game when this unit is built. (there may be a way around it like if you put the shp of the heil carrier in a mix file and distribute it. (very nice btw, i look forward to giving this ago)
  6. yea some are but there are still alot not covered by the mini-patch, a lot of the "cliping" problems for exaple go unnoticed but are fixed with a quick art change. The firestorm generator and missle silo for example, (like the beta emp turret) are a compleate mess due to the lack of support for its special frames. If you look at the firestrom generator ingame there is a jump at the end of the buildup, then look at the graphics you can see why there is a jump, the animation always playing is supose to be the active animation therefor was never supose to play directly after the structure was built hence the jump.
  7. yea but i have more , im away from my pc atm so cant get work out which ones I (or others) have fixed and havent fixed, the mini fix was posted after i stopped contributing fixes publicaly (however a few of my fixes made it to a later version)

Nice work, i look forward to giving this a go @Helgen: I havent installed the mod yet but if i understand what you are asking correctly, yes it is possible to make a RA mod which is ran using the original ra ".exe" file however compatability problems are more likly to occur when installing/uninstalling etc The real advantage of using a edited exe is you can have both original RA and edited in the same directory with out any major problems as thenew version doesnt change the original in any way. This post is more for my reference as I am away from my normal computer but your welcome to post your own bugs I have fixes for most of these however its just properly documenting them I need to finish (my patch was more complete than Aros however after a bit of a fall out with certain members and negative community response else where, I simply didn’t post any of my fixes or realise my patch. If there is interest I will release assets of my patch including code. Thats ridiculous and makes no sense what so ever (i never chose to use imagehack, never trused any website which shoved popups in my face then asked me to enter details) I realy dont understand what they will gain from this, ultimatly they are alienating the Asian market (which is fast becoming the biggest online) not to mention the sharp rise in the african market which is likely to follow the sudden changes to government and therefore policy on freedom of information. I dont see from a buisness point of view how this will benifit them at all. any sort of internet censorship is sloppy, even the glorious system used by Australia

It tends to muck up the ini files a bit for games like TS up (dont know about RA though) That and it doesnt allow you to change the full list of attributes in many games (TS for example has many programmed attributes which are never used in the rules file and some which are seen in the rules file but do not excists in the exe file, last time i used one of the program some usless attributes were listed and some use-full atributes hidden) -- And since the files are all text based any way its sometimes a lot easyer just to use a fancy text editor (like notpad++) than it is to use a program with a GUI
  17. It was a feature cut from the Beta version of the game, Its not to well known but old news if you ever look threw the cnc files. IMO its pretty cool and ashame it wasnt implemented (micro managment would have surely been needed or codding so they units only attack other inf using fists within x squares of each other) i recall something to do with the age ratting or computer perforance being a factor in there removal (I should realy start researching this stuff again, it was great fun see what could of been)
  18. other than duel booting or Dosbox i dont think there is much else you can do im affraid. The 16bit stuff is mostly nonexcistant in vista/7
  19. How many edits are you needing to do on the one file and are they at the same offsets? Its just a thought, i havent don any research so excuse any obvious flaws you could make a tool for it based on this if the offsets are all in the same place and it is the same change (there is a good chance further editing or a different tool would be needed for other specific pieces) http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cncstuff/source/tfd_ts203modfix.pas.txt (Nyerguds TS mod fix, if you look at the source it basically looks for the required offsets and changes them.) What programming language is that btw?

I dislike the use of the word Trolls (this isnt cr*ppy /ppm/ ) but its almost appropriate in these cases The first one im amazed can turn the computer on never mind install RA (he's a tier below even the RA2 Xwis players in terms of IQ) The second makes me ashamed he is from the same country as me...

I belive the reason the maps03 mix isnt there is because of a problem related to the game, All the firestorm maps should be lose in the TS folder, they are the fsgidxx.map and fsnodxx.map files. As for movies03 i think (i dont have them downloaded on this pc) the movies from this are either loose or perhaps in side the two existing moviexx.mix files. Moving over the 2 mix files (and possibly the lose movie files) will allow you to view them ingame on any other pc.
  24. Welcome We dont have a matchmaking server but we do have CnCNet. Basically it uses Tiberian suns lan play function to allow you to play, all you have to do is download the wsock32.dll on this page. (we did have a server project but im not sure on its status however, the advantages given by a server over the current method are limited, not that its not worth trying) Xwis controls the official servers now however they are very bad when it comes to welcoming new players and they arent very good at supporting anything but the Red Alert 2 servers Post back if you have any other questions or quires.
  25. only if you have a flagship version of windows 7 (tonnes of the features they advertise are unavalible to home users and realy fail to see its true use even in the buisness world) You still need to own an old version of windows to run in a VM BUT xp, windows 98, 2000 and ME (CE?) should also work AND THE ISSUE ISNT JUST OS RELATED (but more likly on newer) on my homebuilt vista pc it works perfectly where as my prebuilt acer pc it tears. Also on a related note:i dont think any of the westwood games were designed to work with a tracker pad on laptops, in fact on my brothers laptop will crash cnc1 if you do any thing with the tracker pad you cant with a mouse.
