I take a lot of time balancing my maps to try and make it capable of pretty much doing any type of play. I still have differences in them where certain plays may be stronger on certain maps, but not so much that it's the obvious choice, nor that it's the only way to play. All of my newer maps ARE symmetrical, however, which some people don't like. Personally, I think, in the spirit of fair competition, it's a must; and while WW did NOT make multiplayer maps like that, this has become the new norm for other RTS tournament style maps.

What about spawning with a mobile radar jammer, so you can think about what you did wrong AND about how bad the balance of RA1 is. Play TD like a man xD

I burst out laughing! A mapping contest would be cool. Yeah, judging is always the hard part, because you never know what someone might put into a map that might make it really interesting (and therefore the best). You know? Still, it'd be neat to see. -

Yeah, there's a bug where you can get the infantry to walk on water, without changing anything. Just use a transport. When the infantry go to enter it, move the transport away. xD -

You can kick and ban players from hosted games, also, which is helpful. (click on their name to see their older nicks they may have used, also). You can report them to the people with a hammer next to their name, in the chat, also. From which a ban may be placed.

I cringed a bit when you just run all the chem warriors in against the big group of guys... they can kill each other, and then the animation of their death ALSO deals damage... and then they ALL die at once. It's sad when it happens, and the reason why flamer/chem men are so much crappier than grens. Basically, they don't scale well into larger groups. Better to put them in 1-3 at a time. -

It should be fine, chem spray is pretty similar to flame. If you feel the attack is a bit OP, just nerf the health or up the price a bit. Single player is usually fine in that way. -
Balance in any RTS is always hard. Even WCII, which was almost identical teams, most agree that the Orc side was strait up better. I'm always surprised just how good the balance between Nod and GDI are in C&C95. There are still debates over which is the "better" team. Given that this is the case, I feel like saying "They are simply different".

There was an issue with uneven amounts of tiberium, should be all fixed now. Please re-download and replace old copies.

Agreed. I did have a crack at it, but it's a different game altogether; and in the end, too "turtley" for my liking. Quite slow paced action. (I actually think more units were viable in original C&C)

I think you nukes their Con Yard, by the way; which is probably a better explanation as to why you didn't see it, hehe. You sure do like those flame tanks, too. I usually start with lights and turrets and then move into flame tanks (also some bikes and stealth for recon sniping stray tanks). -

Oh interesting. I seem to remember a a "dos mod" for the game. Didn't that run on low res? How was that done?

You can change the resolution, at least, in CCconfig.exe, found in your C&C folder.

I built mammoth tanks... because mammoth tanks xD Pretty good if the other guy goes no Weapons Factory, as it turns out... I got quite the surprise in the village!

Pretty neat stuff. Maybe this was the original way that Nod was going to deal with GDI armour in the late game? Who knows. Cool render, man. I might look to use this myself, for something, in the near future. I'll be sure to drop you a line
