Yeah, that's right, you get something for stealing the tech centre, yeah? -Liam
-
Yup, that's a hummer coming off of the plane xD Yeah, I always made my base INSIDE their base, and if you only attack them with turrets and obelisk, it doesn't cause a retaliation mechanism to happen I kinda want to do it again, though, looks cool to do it like this. You need to attack the outpost, yeah, and drive the mammoths away from the base? -Liam

It looks bloody awesome! haha Who doesn't like something like this? -Liam

Command & Conquer: Dawn of Tomorrow teaser thread
AchromicWhite replied to Kilkakon's topic in Modding Discussion
I sort of felt the same, but I think it maybe that we're just not used to seeing it. It looks great, regardless. -Liam -
I'm just gonna say: FFA is what it is. People can do what they like, so expect that type of thing. -Liam
-
Hey, nice
-
Yeah, but you never tech, bro. Flame weapons and apaches own troops. (given flame troopers are somewhat just a suicide warrior). Yeah, if the distance is short, you can go hands, turrets and even apaches. Good luck to anyone trying to get a weapons factory up in that. haha -Liam
-
In many ways, I guess they are... and yeah, they wreck airstrips, which is good. I should use them for that more often. Shutting down Nod light vehicle production can quickly be the nail in the coffin. -Liam
-
Yes, I know about how it dmgs them. That's quite cool. I'd really like to know the full stats on them, then. Could be an easy way to make RA1 flamers work like TD after all... though, would need the flame 'muzzle flash'. So map based mods wouldn't maybe LOOK good (and let's be honest, that's important!) -Liam
-
It's the TD flame logic that I'd really like to see transferred over But laser would be cool, too. -Liam
-
Yeah, 3 can wipe out a turret, they're excellent like that. 4 for an ob, too. -Liam
-
Yeah, I go for a nice hummer count in GDI vs Nod. Remember... when we played, and it resulted in Orca -Liam
-
Agreed, you should be able to set primary building. And yes, this is annoying... when it drops the unit at the wrong location. (same sort of thing can happen with multiple WF and you make hummers too fast... if one unit is still emerging from a WF, another will just come out of a different one). Very annoying if you don't notice and have idle units that could have helped you in situations. -Liam

Cool Nice to see people making vids of this old gem -Liam -
Looks awesome. Fit for a present! xD

I never saw this thread. Have you looked through my ones Myg? Particularly: Iron Valley, Canyon Pursuit and Charmed Savanna I've got a new one, too. I've almost mocked up the initial design. -Liam
-
Ohhhhh. Well that's cool too. Does this also work for Infantry?? And, does it always fire from above the unit, or does it fire from where ever the gun is? I think Kilk would be interested in this, for his mod. You might want to give him a bell. -Liam
-
Doesn't that just sometimes happen when people leave the game? I think it might be a cncnet issue. Either way, you've won, because they gave up. -Liam

I'm assuming we're mostly going effectiveness. Yeah, you use what I used to use in SP. It's pretty different in mutiplayer, as you have tech tiers (Barracks/HoN, WF/Strip, comm center, AdvComm/Temple), where as, in single player, it's more about what the level will LET you build. Cost and time don't matter so much in SP, either, just defend well and then you can build whatever you like. Also, in SP, you know what you're going up against, in MP, it's whatever your opponent builds. Most powerful unit in use? Probably the Recon Bike, it's super fast, not too expensive and packs a punch... does AA, too. The unit I think is the coolest? I think Stealth Tank. It looks cool and is fun to play around with. Most useless unit? Probably Chem Warrior, for SP I guess artillery. Chem warrior is basically an expensive flamer, who needs a temple to build and can walk in tiberium. The unit I think is just the most boring/silly? Technician, maybe? I mean, they're funny, but it would have been nice if they made them do SOMETHING, rather than just a thing to move around. -Liam

Command & Conquer: Dawn of Tomorrow teaser thread
AchromicWhite replied to Kilkakon's topic in Modding Discussion
Yeah, it does look a little empty, aye? Maybe something more on top of the main building, or a door etc? Looking nice, though -Liam -
Nod is certainly more noob friendly, and yes grens are better than flamers when both are microed well (IMO). Someone might be able to prove that wrong, though. Better side? I've said Nod before, but IDK. Apaches might be what seals the deal for Nod. -Liam
-
Lines to tell where they're going? What happens when they're meant to go somewhere, get stuck and then give up? Does the line change etc? -Liam
-
Yeah, it's not terrible, though, it could be better. I did think about your point on all middle spawning earlier, Jacko, but Elec Ave is the only map I can think of which is nice and well balanced, and has that. And yeah, Twin Peaks actually rocks. Can someone hit funky up and get him to make spec mode!? xD (you all want me to do it?) -Liam
-
You can make a LOT of grens from it... just put some near the Hand and get others to attack the con. If they don't scout first, they're gonna have issues. -Liam
