Tschokky Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 Yeeees water animates very nicely I like Goatmessiah's idea, too, I'll do some gravel-ish tests soon.
Nyerguds Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Player-owned subs are probably still invisible in water though... since the water uses the same colours as the cloak effect
Tschokky Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 It would be a great honor and pleasure if Iran could add the barren theater for the next release of his PortableRA.
Messiah Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Goatmessiah, how about now? Looks cool. I had the same idea so far. also did some tries with the road to make it look a little bit different than in other theaters. maybe we could create a new cliff set too.
AchromicWhite Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Very cool, makes me want to get back to making CR... Have to fire up my old PC and put everything on a flash drive, so I can copy it all over, though. haha -Liam
Tschokky Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 Iran, may I ask if there is any chance you would include the barren tileset and .bar extensions in the next release of PortableRA and RAED?
Tschokky Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Please check out this new barren release - terrain set with ore and palette (just rename barren.txt to barren.pal) UPDATE - replaced blossom tree with mine barren.txt barren.mix
Messiah Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 something went wrong here. seems your palette is somehow corrupted.
Tschokky Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Wow. That is weird. Here's a zip with the .pal in it, hope it does the trick. My pal is fine. barrenpal.zip
Messiah Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 everything fine now with barren . . . but the bug now reappears with your new desert theater. XD XD
Tschokky Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 NEW RELEASE Red Alert with BAR,DES,INT,JUN,TEM,SNO,WIN, all music scores, no movies http://digitus.itk.ppke.hu/~valy/RA/RA95FULL.ZIP __________________________________________________________________ C&C conversion with BAR,DES,INT,JUN,TEM,SNO,WIN, all music scores, no movies http://digitus.itk.ppke.hu/~valy/RA/RACCFULL.ZIP
Tschokky Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 Thank you! Now all we need I think is a RAED support for barren maps. Next tileset? I think we're pretty much done with "terrestrial" tilesets, when they finish the southeast-Asian style jungle. Savannah, arctic (ice cliffs?), extension of interior with subterranean tiles? Opinions, suggestions?
FunkyFr3sh Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 raed already supports it, I updated the package yesterday http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3476.msg27652#msg27652
ROB Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 You guys rock with all these new theaters! II gotta update all my RA apps and integrate the barren theater into my project. The Barren theater really reminds me of Oklahoma, USA, A place you drive through to get to where you're going.
Tschokky Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 A map for you today: Super Eternal War - 126x126, Barren Ants enabled, Mammoth Tank needs WEAP only I didn't even try to finish it tonight, killed 1115 when I eliminated the first AI Really intense battles everywhere, on land and in flight. Too bad AI doesn't build navy. EDIT: ore spreads and regenerates very rapidly. scv21ea.mpr
FunkyFr3sh Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Just updated the map preview generator for barren, here are my testing results: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/pictures/PathBeyond.png looks pretty cool
Kilkakon Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 It is very pretty :O I need to finish my internal one now
Darkstar387 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Did anybody ever find a way to get these to work in the original C&C95?
