  1. The buildlevels in the missions themselves have no real significance. It's the buildings and units that have a 'can first be built at level XX" set, so that determines what a buildlevel value really means. It's obvious that none of the units or buildings would use any of the numbers between the original campaign numbers and the special 98 and 99 cases. So yeah, normal buildlevels are 1-15, with 98 being equivalent to multiplayer tech level 7. As a rule, build level 99 should NEVER be used. It was for beta testing only. It allows building stuff like the Mobile HQ; 'nuff said
  2. It might help to tell what exactly you are doing at the moment this crash happens. [edit] The crash happens in a function which is part of an ini_ReadString routine which seems to only be used in the Get_Map_List function. It's used to read the name, height, width and theater of all maps.
  3. Awesome! I'm totally saving all of those
  4. Don't these have the same problem as C&C, where the themes THEMSELVES are programmed to loop, though? When I added the score and map themes to the playlist in C&C95 they simply stopped the playlist progress since the themes themselves were set to auto-loop. (one of the reasons I completely overhauled the C&C95 music handling system)
  5. You also wouldn't be able to build stealth tanks.
  6. Chad.... there's no such thing.
  7. Here are mine :3 http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/inirules/ I guess only themes.ini actually works though, lol
  8. It's supposed to make you enjoy it MORE, you silly person!
  9. Depends on if I release a patch :3
  10. ...no, the objective is to capture the Orca, secure it (so, in other words, take over or destroy the rest of the base), then fly the Oca across the river and destroy a village with it, so the poor villagers will think GDI attacked them It's an elaborate PR mission, really.
  11. Rob! I remember you! Didn't I help you with Armageddon? Pretty sure I still got files of that on my hard disk :3
  12. "Supposed to"? There's no real other way to finish that mission, you know...
  13. That's utter nonsense. There is no Yuri campaign. You can only play Yuri in skirmish and multiplayer. There's no way something like that wouldn't be common knowledge in the modding community by now.
  14. I use small infantry in RA95 too
  15. The RA expansions never had their own exe file. If you have v3.03, both Counterstrike and The Aftermath are simply activated by a registry entry. The fact the RA switcher tool didn't work means you're missing those registry entries. you probably downloaded a pack where that RAAM.exe is a hex edited copy that always enables the expansions. Might even be a renamed version of the exe from The Lost Files. Wait. Is that a completely fresh install, or did you put that over your already-unknown nocd installation? Tat address is in the middle of the memmove_ function, which is used by a ton of different operations. One of those is reading files. Since we don't know what your installation contains exactly, I suggest starting over from a blank slate. ...you guys better be trolling. This has nothing to do with corrupted system files. Stop suggesting things like that for games which are known to have random game crashes. Especially if he's using some unidentified edited version of the exe and the game. [edit] Ohey, just noticed you're Dutch, qommando. I'm Flemish
  16. As far as I know, the only thing like that was the special code for mission #6, where the building you bombed wasn't there at the start of mission #7. I have no idea. The information I got is purely from observation, not from looking into the code.
  17. Dunno. Westwood mix files are known to be full of old unused beta stuff.
  18. I just noticed he's using an "RAAM.exe"... wtf?
  19. Hehe, neat. That mission 11 was already pretty pro originally, though [edit] By the way, in that very last screenshot, you do realize the top stealth can be seen by the enemy, right? Comm Centers have sensors :3
  20. Hm, RA1, huh? Haven't played that in quite a while
  21. Under Siege, requiring money management? Huh? ...you never found the crate under the Church, did you? That, combined with selling the SAM sites, the Temple (after launching the nuke) and, if needed, the repair bay, should give you plenty of money :|
  22. C&C1 has the simplest support for video cutscenes of all C&C games, actually. It's the only one that accepts and plays any VQA you configure in a mission without needing it in some internal data list. Not sure what you mean with "a pre-briefing map" though. But I can't see any C&C1 mod/campaign project going anywhere unless you're already quite well aware of the possibilities and limitations of C&C1 mission making.
  23. Those colours you see are the ones used by the units and structures. This means, they're the colours shared between all theaters. In other words, ALL graphics, in ALL theaters, in the ENTIRE game use them. To change those colours, you'll have to reconvert every single unit, every single terrain tile, and all UI graphics used ingame to fit your new palette. AND you have to make sure not to touch any colours used in the generation of the ingame menus, like the grey frames, the green used in the fonts, etc. Not unless the "upgraded versions" are entirely different units. And since you kinda can't add new units in C&C95, and the civilians have quite some hardcoded civilian behaviour, this is probably reeeeally hard to do without sacrificing existing soldier types. Sorry, can't help you there. I got the sequences of the infantry though, and I could give some pointers of where to find those in C&C95.exe, but that's it. You mean the terrain? The "JUNGLE" entry is still unused, and can be filled in with a modified clone of any of the other theaters. Again though, editing its colours can have weird results on colour filters like the shadow generation, the movement flash, and the semitransparent edges of the revealed terrain, since they're all palette modifiers.
  24. Ew. Why would you even WANT that? Also, this'll work better, probably: It's a resize guide pic I made ages ago. The blue area is what to take as final image. The purple is what to stretch it to. I'm sure there are programs around to do automatic bulk resizes like that on hundreds of frames. Heck, I think RAD tools can do it, just by getting a bit creative with the cropping settings
