  1. Heh. Were you inspired by Nmenth's "Cartoon and Conquer" and Zee Hypnotist's Tiberian Legos, by any chance? xD Anyway, loving it so far. Really like the chem dude
  2. Balance is an eternal debate, though. Better not to touch it IMO.
  3. I recently watched "Moon" (2009), a psychological drama about a man alone on a lunar mining station, who finds out he's not who he thinks he is
  4. There are no clones in TS. This is how the TS stuff worked: Kane's undamaged face in the TS briefings was video manipulation on the real-time video stream, courtesy of CABAL. The real one is the one with the damaged face you see at the end. The GDI intro briefing actually hints at this; EVA notes that the video of Kane's return is genuine, but some signs of manipulation were detected. McNeil stabs Kane in the gut with a piece of wreckage at the end of the GDI campaign. This is considered canon. Without Kane's command, CABAL goes crazy, and the events in Firestorm start. CABAL recovers Kane's body, and puts it in a tank to heal. The Kane in the tube you see in Firestorm is not a clone. The other people around him in the other tubes are not clones either. In fact in the video you see one of them is female. See, "CABAL" stands for "Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform". Note the "Biologically Augmented" and "Lifeform" parts; it wasn't an actual "Artificial" Intelligence, but a bunch of human brains linked together to work as supercomputer. At the end of Firestorm, CABAL links Kane into its brains matrix, which allows Kane to reassert control over it and abort CABAL's genocidal plans. This basically means that none of the player's actions had any effect on the real reason the war against CABAL ended
  5. Not my fault; Westwood made it like that. I considered changing it when I made the patch... but in the end I left it as it was. But, yeah, if you kinda looked on in the menu you should've seen "start new game" right below it.
  6. Isn't that from Looking Glass Studios? They just ported it... still a Westwood game
  7. I doubt it. This place started as a C&C1/RA1 forum. You might have better luck on ppmsite.com
  8. That's not our decision. We will not be hosting technically-illegal downloads anywhere to support our system, so RA2 won't be uploaded anywhere here. Given the fact cncnet uses LAN as basis for its multiplayer system, though, I have no idea if a valid serial would be required. I think the only requirement in LAN is for all players to have different serials.
  9. Off-map reinforcements aren't the same as "spawn at point", as far as I know... if this is like in C&C1, you need to actually makes sure the terrain right outside the map at that point allows them to enter there. ..this is posted in the mapping forum, dude
  10. umm... in which game? And what do you mean with "spawning";, making them magically appear there by trigger, or just making the AI build them?
  11. You didn't include C&C N64
  12. Yes. What about them? You don't.
  13. Not sure if troll... Because this evolved from a C&C1/RA1 online community. XWIS' C&C1 and RA1 online system doesn't go beyond 2 and 4 players respectively. The cncnet system, using the games' LAN functions, can get twice that amount. As for your status, it is related to post count.
  14. For most of TS modding you're probably going to have an easier time finding answers on PPMSite; it's, in its core, a TS modding community.
  15. 's called Normals. Voxels already got 'em
  16. Here's a better one, then... "WHEN IT'S DONE"
  17. Oh wow. That looks hilarious
  18. For C&C I had to migrate a bunch of hardcoded strings to the strings file to get the translation working right. Might be the same issue here? Interestingly, the German and French ones has most of those in the strings file already. But since I based my patch on the English one, I had to add it
  19. It works on any ts installation, it is not yet included but i hope tore will release his updated installer soon 'kay, just wondering if I'd better link it in addition to the full download when recommending the freeware TS on the EA Answers board
  20. Yeeah... if I were you, I'd: -Make sure you got more than 1 GB of hard disk space free; Windows tends to crash if you don't due to an inability to cache memory to disk. -Run Malwarebytes Antimalware to see if you got bad stuff ruining your PC. -Run a memtest to see if you don't have errors in your RAM. -Check if your disks, CPU and/or motherboard chipset aren't running too hot for some reason (like, dust in the CPU / chipset fan, disks packed too close together in the case with no airflow through them). -Update your drivers.
  21. Ehh... I linked to the full topic on the fed2k forum at the end of that post. It has all the links. Not to mention, I thought everyone knew by now that my site is an open directory . Just cut the filename off the url to see the rest of the files there.
  22. umm... "dictating" just means "making an official statement / decree", y'know? You announced this as being official; that's dictating Anyway, yah, I'm just joking around. Have fun
  23. So, does this work on the full download from this site, or is it already included in it?
  24. Well, I found out about this one literally less than a week ago But, yeah, it seems "Command & Conquer" was simply the name of their line of RTS products.
  25. Ummm... what? O_o After you start using the purple palette, you don't need any palette conversion at all!
