  1. I've been running the v3 server (cnc1/ra/ts/d2k) with Debian7 / 128 MB RAM / 8GB HDD just fine. If you want to host both servers (to cover all games) then 256+ MB might be better
  2. Added some new features such as saving position of the window and alt+enter to switch between window/full screen. https://github.com/CnCNet/cnc-ddraw/releases Red Alert Config: http://downloads.cncnet.org/addons/ra-config.7z C&C95 Config: http://downloads.cncnet.org/addons/td-config.7z Download and extract the files into your game folder. (You may not want to extract ddraw.ini, otherwise you may override your settings)
  3. ddraw.ini Also, If windowed is enabled, then make sure mhack is enabled too. Set maxfps to 60 to prevent fast scrolling issues
  4. TiberianDawn_Online_installer.exe is just a plain multiplayer only version, that's why Myg was referring to it as the "CnCNet version" since it was made specially for CnCNet Online games. cc95v106c_r3_u4_full.exe is the right file (the only one you can find for Single player), we'll have to wait for Nyerguds to help out with this one. My guess is that Nyerguds enabled some compatibility modes for the game executable which are causing all the issues. If you want to try already now without waiting for him, do the following: 1) Enable cnc-ddraw in the config program 2) Open ddraw.ini in your game folder and make sure the renderer is set to "gdi". 3) Disable all compatibility modes C&C95.exe, make sure you apply them for all users too. After that, don't open the cnc config program again, it might revert some changes and break it again.
  5. Crash is related to rendering, can you please check if there are any compatibility modes enabled for ra95.exe, if that's the case, disable all of them. If it still doesn't work, go into the Red Alert config program and try to tick the OpenGL checkbox and then retry. If it still doesn't work, download the latest "DDrawCompat - experimental/test release" and extract the ddraw.zip into your game folder, if it asks you to override files, click yes. DDrawCompat: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases Direct link to file: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases/download/experimental/ddraw.zip Please report back if you got it working (or not)!
  6. For your Tiberian Sun issues, try to apply my patch: https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/2606-tiberian-sun-patches-fix-for-the-windows-8-10-menu-problems-and-more/ You need to specify what files you used to install/patch the games, otherwise it will be difficult to help since we got multiple people working on the games. RedAlert1_Online_Installer.exe -> I made this one TiberianDawn_Online_installer.exe -> I made this one TiberianSun_Online_Installer.exe -> I made this one RA1installer.exe -> I made this one TSpatch.exe -> I made this one cc95v106c_r3_u4_full.exe -> Nyerguds made this one TSinstaller3-beta11r6.exe -> Tore made this one
  7. You can't play the campagin with "TiberianDawn_Online_installer.exe", nor "cnc95.exe" - Those are for multiplayer only. Can you try if the multiplayer version works for you without issues? https://downloads.cncnet.org/TiberianDawn_Online_installer.exe The multiplayer version (TiberianDawn_Online_installer.exe) was made by me, if it works then I'll tell nyerguds the settings I used so he can apply it to his patch for the full game (cc95v106c_r3_u4_full.exe)
  8. Try to enable cnc-ddraw again in the config program, now go into your game folder and look for ddraw.ini, open it in notepad and switch the renderer (If it's "opengl", try "gdi")
  9. Which installer did you use? TSinstaller3-beta11r6.exe or TiberianSun_Online_Installer.exe? Did you also try DxWnd+WindowMode?
  10. 6/7 should be good values for YR with the currently used protocol version (2)
  11. I didn't know where to post it since it actually works with all classic westwood games (td, ra, ts, ra2, dune 2000). DDrawCompat is a DirectDraw proxy dll just like cnc-ddraw, ts-ddraw, ddwrapper. It improved the performance dramatically for everyone who tested it yet (went over 14000 FPS in ra1 for me!!). It also solves the alt+tab bugs on windows 8/10 (and the menu bugs too). It should work fine on Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10. (We had no one to try Vista yet) Even if you don't have any issues with the games, it's still worth a try. It prevents slow downs in big battles online or even in skirmish with AI. Give it a try: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases Note: use the latest experimental release
  12. CnCNet Client Quick Match updates (works on windows XP again) A new "/map" command was added to select/suggest maps from the database with ease - Map DB Changed default server to prevent (Bad Username) errors on connect - To install the update manually type the following commands: /install update35 /restart
  13. Nope, there wasn't any update for the CnCNet client for around 2 weeks now. Did you maybe install a different wine version? Did you already try to remove the ".cncnet" wine prefix in your home folder and afterwards launch cncnet again so it creates a fresh wine prefix?
  14. Red Alert 1 had this too, was fixed already in the multi player version. Don't think anyone made a fix for C&C1 yet
  15. Nice, but you make it look very complicated, it's actually very simple! You don't need to download the 2 .rar files with the 2 .iso manually, the installer does it automatically. (Web-Install) And if you already have the rar files then you don't need to extract and mount them, that's all automatic too (CD-Install)

Dune 2000 has been available on gruntmods.com for many years (long time before CnCNet even supported the game). Without gruntmods.com we probably would have never added support for the game here since there would be no way to install the game on modern operation systems
  17. We're all getting this error atm, it's related to a recent server update on GameSurge https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/7624-status-update-network/ Something went wrong with the update and some unwanted changes were pushed live, they're working on reverting the changes but it takes some time since there is another problem they have to fix first
  18. Red Alert Fix for ladder game results (NUMP) Fix for RAED Editor Overlay crash (0x0045EE3C) Fix for Zombie Mod Map crash - [Flamer]Warhead=Super (0x00463efd) Fix for CoOp Trigger crash (0x0056cc6f) Fix for Radar crash (0x0056ABFF) Fix for broken allies chat + in game ignore bug Fix for resign bug, aircraft should now explode too
  19. This is a problem related to he gamesurge servers, they're working on it already. Nothing we can do from here, we'll have to wait until it's done. For the most users it works though, it just fails twice and then it connects. (1 of their servers is working)
  20. one thread is enough, I close this one, please don't double post
  21. You can try this: https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/7541-i-need-help-with-my-origin-version/#comment-57820
  22. CnCNet Client Fixed a crash caused by bad settings (Tiberian sun) Public ladder testing is now available via a new "Ranked Match" button
  23. rules.ini is for the campaign and skirmish via the old interface, cncnet is using spawn.xdp and spawnam.xdp (they're just renamed rules.ini aftrmath.ini files, you can open them with notepad or rename your rules.ini to spawn.xdp)
  24. You can just remove the lines you don't need and it will use the default values. Only keep "GrowthRate" and "OreSpreads"
