Seems like there is still no response from the server (port UDP/TCP 50000/50003 blocked?) But things got worse, the following two servers are also broken now (Yesterday they worked) Purple-Horizon-Clan.net Germany#01 v3 176.9.7.72:50001 0 / 200 OK Purple-Horizon-Clan.net Germany#02 v3 176.9.7.72:50002 0 / 200 OK 50001/50002 UDP seems to be blocked too

Tunnels Status Thread - Find your tunnel that is offline
FunkyFr3sh replied to Grant's topic in Tunnel Servers
Reason: Does not load anyone into the game apart from host. Probably server is reachable at port 50000 TCP but not at 50000 UDP? -
yeah that's allowed, but only barefoot
-
restarted it, works fine now

It's impossible to help your like this, please provide more info The website cncnet.org doesn't load for you? Or you can't download the installer? Or could you download the installer but it doesn't work? Screenshots can help too
-
The problem is known, will hopefully be fixed soon, Meanwhile you can try to apply TSpatch on top of your installation, it should work fine afterwards https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/2606-tiberian-sun-patches-fix-for-the-windows-8-10-menu-problems-and-more/

CCConfig.exe is quite new (Made with visual studio 2017), CCConfigFull.exe is older (project was created with an old visual studio version, but compiled with 2017 too) No idea what the reason could be... But I think it's not a good idea to play online with such hardware anyways, it would be very slow and everyone would hate on you for lagging the games
-
Are the other games having the same problem too? Try Red Alert 1 https://downloads.cncnet.org/RedAlert1_Online_Installer.exe
-
I guess the problem is caused by a security program you installed, try to disable it and see if it works then

CCConfigFull.exe works, but what about CCConfig.exe ?

How to place (and move) the flags on a map?
FunkyFr3sh replied to Sloshgun's topic in RA Multiplayer Maps
Press space on your keyboard, then in the bottom right you see the flag icon, click on it and select a flag You can then switch the flags either by doing the same again or use your mouse wheel to browse through them Esc = Options Menu Space = Tile Browser Ctrl+C = Copy Ctrl+V = Paste Ctrl+X = Cut mouse wheel = change tile selection mouse middle button = change tile category -
just create the map, then restart cncnet and afterwards it should show up in the list For existing maps, just copy them into your red alert folder and it will find them in there (make sure you restart if you had cncnet running while you copied them in) You can also create a new folder inside of the maps folder and put your own maps inside of it

Could try to get the ladder up if there is demand. Would be possible to choose maps like we do in RA1, 6 officials and 4 customs. You are allowed to veto 4 maps, this way no one is forced to play customs

On your desktop there is a icon (the one you always use to start the game), right click it and choose run as administrator
-
Do you have windows 10? Was there a bigger windows update recently? You are the first one reporting such a problem yet, I don't know about any solution. Did you try to run CnCNet as admin once? (This could bypass the firewall)

The LAN server will only start for one of you, that's normal. The one that opens CnCNet in LAN mode first will become the server, everyone else who starts CnCNet afterwards will connect to the server running on the other PC. "Configuration System failed to initialize" is a error related to the .NET framework, it's not about CnCNet. I Assume other programs using the same .NET version will fail for him too. I guess some program messed up your config file, you will have to check google and try a few things to fix it: https://www.google.de/search?q="Configuration+System+failed+to+initialize" Step 2. and 3. here look interesting: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/configuration-system-failed-to-initialize-windows-10-solved/ You can also try to re-install the .NET framework, if it offers you a option to "Repair" then use that one, otherwise go through the whole installation again: Download NetFx20SP2_x86.exe https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=1639

Check @Allen262 's post Just select a map you like to play, right click the map preview to open the editor and then you have 2 options. 1. Click on the "T" icon in the top right and add what allen suggested at the bottom [Trigs] MAP=0,12,0,0,13,-1,0,0,-1,0,16,-1,-1,-1,0,-1,-1,-1 Now you should also rename the map, append (REVEALED) or something similar to the map name to ensure you'll find it again. Save the map. Restart cncnet and search for the keyword you added (REVEALED) 2. Add a trigger manually (check allens post), this is a bit more complicated but you'll need to do it in case the map already has trigs Now you should also rename the map, append (REVEALED) or something similar to the map name to ensure you'll find it again. Save the map. Restart cncnet and search for the keyword you added (REVEALED) -
Red Alert Disabled SSE to prevent crashes on old computers Fix for radar cell_color crash (0x0049ef34) The game will now try to switch the resolution in case the chosen one is not supported Fixed a bug that caused spectators to lag games Possible fix for hires clear crash (0x005c4e27) Fixed a bug where the game sometimes didn't exit when only 1 player was left (Quick Match) Fixed a bug where CoOp (Defense) maps didn't connect players properly and everyone was playing alone in a separate game Added simple frameskip to slow down rendering on old computers (This hopefully prevents lag) Fixed a bug that could cause a connection failure (Windows 10 Fall Creators update) Ladder games are now working again Tiberian Dawn Fixed a bug that could cause a connection failure (Windows 10 Fall Creators update)

Make sure to lock up during the holiday season!
FunkyFr3sh replied to fir3w0rx's topic in General Discussion
That's really crazy, glad to hear you both are fine at least -
Each computer needs its own port forwarding settings, you probably forwarded it to the old computer only. If you want both forwarded then you need to go into Settings->CnCNet->Game Settings and change your port to something else on the new computer, e.g. 8055 (old pc keeps 8054) Then log in to your router and forward 8055 to your new pc and keep the old pc forwarded to 8054 But TBH, you don't really need to forward any ports, it will work fine without that too
