I'm having troubles modding Tiberian Sun

for some weird reason, every time I insert a .MIX file with XCC Mix editor, it inserts it as an "xcc lmd" or a DAT file. this makes me unable to modify .MIX files that are within a .MIX file. is there a tool that inserts .MIX files correctly?

I finally figured it out. the "xcc lmd" file extension actually does not cause problems as long you press the compact button after you insert a .MIX file. I don't know how to explain further.

Uhh thats weird. I just use xcc mixer to extract files and xcc mix editor to create them. Draggin n dropping mix files works, or just adding them manually works fine for me. Are you using admin rights? Perhaps u can try on a different pc?

maybe you're using a different version of XCC Mix editor, right? I downloaded the XCC Utilities archive here: http://xhp.xwis.net/utilities/ 

should I just download only the XCC Mix editor? or maybe run it as an administrator?

EDIT: I ran the program as an administrator and the solution didn't work.

Maybe you could just use Mix Editor to create a new mix file, then add other mix files to it using XCC Mixer.

but the "New..." button in Mix editor is grayed out. how do make it clickable? maybe I should download a different version of XCC Mix editor.
