How about running the "game.exe" directly, as admin? [edit] huh, didn't see the second page
-
They already said it's an ini file. Just open it with Notepad. If you right click on the file you should get "open with..." in it, allowing you to choose the program manually. If not, you need to hold shift while right-clicking the file.

Yeeeah, not sure what the problem is.

RA1 has a resign key? I thought they moved it to the menu to avoid this...
-
I, uh, already fixed that in my current dev version. Which is a mess right now. Really gotta work on that some more. Basically, the commando's "I got a present for ya" isn't a response but a map sound, just like the explosion sounds, that every player in the game can hear. I've changed the logic so that that map sound is skipped if you are the player issuing the bombing command, and made "I got a present for ya" the actual response sound of the commando when ordered to bomb a building.

The grenade throwing sound has been restored by my patch ages ago

Yeah, start at the beginning

98. Don't touch 99, it allows you to build stuff you simply shouldn't, like the mobile HQ and the hospital. Hmm. topoftheline does not allow building chem-warriors? That seems odd. Did you make a Temple of Nod? Those guys kinda need a Temple before you can build them.

Are the changes in the exe well-documented? I assume they're done with hifi's patching system? -

Complain to FunkyFr3sh and his idiotic obsession with making the download size smaller? Wait, the TD download actually has the sidebar fully implemented? Ughh. I really need to update my patch -_- On a more serious note: just install the full version from my patch and copy the exe from the cncnet pack into it. That should work. -
Allen: "BuildingsGetInstantlyCaptured" is about buildingS, plural, so I assume it's a general option, not a building option. SecondaryColorScheme, if done like in C&C1 v1.06, should mean "colour to use on the buildings of this House, and on the MCV and Harvester".

The corner shadows still look wrong... the cut-off piece of the corner is far larger in the shadow than it is in the actual wall.
-
It still seems to switch between the two; I got the EA games listing. Anyway, since it's still on the .westwood.com domain it can't be a fan thing. EA still owns that domain.

New lobby shows all internet players and games in LAN mode.
Nyerguds replied to FoutVarken's question in Support
Fine, so they shouldn't put a LAN button on the cncnet launcher at all then without separating the lobbies properly. I'd just start the game directly; it's not like you can't share those maps manually if the other people you play with are in the same building. -
Great work

Not like it matters much. You can remove the odd mess there simply by opening and closing the main menu.

"This port is widely known as vulnerable" - that's utter bullshit. It's just a number. -
That is awesome! On the island piece, the lower right shadow in the water is wrong, though. It shows a straight angle without the 45 degrees piece. ...in fact it seems all your lower right corner shadows have this problem. [edit] It seems the original RA indoor graphics have this problem too, so it's somewhat understandable. Still should be fixed though, IMO.

Well, then you're just using it for something it's not meant for, IMO... -
Bio lab is an unbuildable mission target building, just like the Hospital and the technology center. Another tech tree oddity: SSM launchers require an Obelisk of Light.

I honestly don't see the point. Your enemy will usually just be a few starting units that don't do anything (won't even deploy its MCV), and you'll be able to wipe them out in seconds. And unless you change the triggers, that'll make you lose the mission. If you want to get into that you'll really have to change the triggers, which brings you into the realm of mission making. The missions themselves can be found inside general.mix, and are pairs of .ini (script) and .bin (terrain) files. The filename format is described in that text file I linked to. I can do it in a single second. C&C1's resign function works in single player XD

New lobby login window is too narrow for non-English languages

"gebruikers naam"? That seems incorrect; it should be one word; "gebruikersnaam". -
RAED can read all maps in the actual folder RAED.exe is located.

So, just... start the game without CnCNet then? I honestly don't see the problem. -
My patch should fix all player side related bugs in the campaign logic, meaning you can perfectly have a mission in the GDI campaign where you play as nod, yes. If you just mean, "take an original mission and change the side to the other player", that's very easy, but you'll only win the mission by killing all your own stuff, since the mission triggers are most likely configured that way
