First Decade, Firestorm, Unable to read scenario when starting any new campaign
FunkyFr3sh replied to js1m2's question in Support
You can't install the First Decade Patch v1.03 Revision 4 patch and TSpatch both at the same time, you have to choose which one of the two you would like to have -
Are you sure you're playing Red Alert? Because I can't find any red alert player with such a name. Or is it Yuri's Revenge?

This is a problem with the gamesurge servers, there should be more info about the issue here: https://gamesurge.net/utils/gline/

Is there any error message when it's crashing? Can you show us a screenshot? Also, what nickname are you using?

try a different renderer

Can't Install Tiberian Sun on Pop! OS (Ubuntu / Linux) - Download Failed dotnetfx.exe

I guess it might be a good idea to install a different version of wine, looks like a wine bug to me -
Check if your anti-virus deleted the file

Not all the maps in the world, yet. only 1600 of them!
FunkyFr3sh replied to amokk's topic in TS Maps
Thank god I improved the map loading code recently... Took exactly 40 seconds for cncnet to load over 5000 maps, not bad -
Looks like the server is working fine, I don't see a "Owner please contact CnCNet"" message behind it

Just checked... I got the same problem as well, it happens because upscaling isn't properly supported for TS yet. I added a workaround to make it playable but it breaks the main menu slightly, your cursor isn't sync with what you see but at least it's playable. Check attached ddraw.zip (Make sure you don't open the config program, it will delete the file) Make sure you keep adjmouse=false and handlemouse=false, otherwise it doesn't work. For maintaining aspect ratio you'll have to use the half of any supported resolution. E.g. If your monitor supports 1920x1080 then set the game res to 960x540 in sun.ini ddraw.zip

The cncnet install will automatically enable the gamespeed slider for the campaign: https://cncnet.org/yuris-revenge

If you play skirmish via cncnet then you can set up teams for the AI players via the button in the top right

Can't Install Tiberian Sun on Pop! OS (Ubuntu / Linux) - Download Failed dotnetfx.exe
FunkyFr3sh replied to stoz's question in Support
Not sure why this would happen, but you can try the following: rm -rf ~/.local/share/cncnet Now modify the "cncnet" bash script and change this: INSTALLER="$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/CnCNet.exe" INSTALLERURL="https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet.exe" To this: INSTALLER="$WINEPREFIX/drive_c/CnCNet-dotnetfx.exe" INSTALLERURL="https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet-dotnetfx.exe" Now run cncnet again. You should be able to get to the launcher now, but i'm not sure if the downloads will fail in there as well or not -
Tiberian Sun Ladder Discussion Discord Server
FunkyFr3sh replied to FunkyFr3sh's topic in CnCNet Ladder
We got our first poll now: How do we please the players that prefer to play the official maps over the vet-versions? #1 Limit the ladder to 3 maps: Map 1. Vanilla Terrace | Map 2. VET terrace | Map 3. Giants of War - (with 2 map allowed to be rejected.) #2 Create a new map pool with half vet / half official maps #3 Switch between vet and official maps each month #4 Allow to reject all maps (except one) + Add official and mod maps If you want to join and vote, check the first post -
Tiberian Sun Ladder Discussion Discord Server
FunkyFr3sh replied to FunkyFr3sh's topic in CnCNet Ladder
Did you play on the CnCNet ladder already? What's your nickname there? Sure, will add it to the next poll! -
We could just give it a try with 3 maps for 1 month and see how it turns out. Will create a poll on the TS ladder discord server for it soon

Scaling isn't really working properly yet (menus wont scale + some options are not available), but you can change your renderer to direct3d9 and then play around with cnc-ddraw.ini if you want to give it a try Try to change your renderer in the config program Can you check the Malwarebytes logs and tell us what files it flags?

You can register an account on gamesurge and players who click on your name will then see that you're the real one: https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/6478-registering-your-gamesurge-account-on-cncnet/ I also have plans to highlight your nickname in a different color to make it easier to spot and will possibly add some other features as well. Not sure yet if it will be possible to fully protect your name because gamesurge doesn't support that but maybe I can figure out a way to do it

We have a private discord server for Tiberian Sun ladder players set up now as well! Players can suggest maps in there and we're also going to have polls. Everyone who played at least 10 ladder games can join. Post here if you want to join or send me/xme a message on cncnet OR discord OR post here in the forums and tell us the nickname you used to play the 10+ games. Example: Here is how it looks like on the Red Alert 1 ladder discord: It will be similar on the Tiberian Sun discord.

Can CnCNet Switch To The Tiberian Sun Client?
FunkyFr3sh replied to 9LivesCatFood's topic in Tiberian Sun
Each client has a different target audience, I personally don't do mods and always played with the ones that dislike mods and prefer the original game hence why my client isn't very moddable, this is intentional to ensure no one is cheating. Rampa doesn't play the original games, he's working on mods instead and that's why his main focus lies on adding features for mods. You would need a closed source build of rampas client to be able to have similar anti-cheat and you also would need to remove a lot of the modding features (e.g. custom game options that modify the maps etc) but then modders would be left with the same you get in my client
