Did you already try to download the Optional Extras from here? https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/1165-how-to-install-red-alert-1-on-windows-xp-vista-7-8-10-linux-mac-32-64bit/

I'm not sure what this problem is about... So even if you go to the options menu and lower the game speed then it still runs too fast? Even on the lowest setting?
-
Start the game once in online mode and let it download all the updates, afterwards you should have all maps including firestorm maps and some popular custom maps

I cannot install Red Alert 2 on Windows 10 help please
FunkyFr3sh replied to Mehmet20's topic in Red Alert 2
The old CD's are not working on windows 10 anymore. Most people buy the game from origin for that reason. Microsoft dropped support for the old "SafeDisc" copy protection that was used in old cnc games. -
Game not loading since the new patch - Screen issues
FunkyFr3sh replied to Jeb's topic in Red Alert 2
This happens because a compatibility mode was removed, not sure why that was done. You could just change your renderer to cnc-ddraw in the client settings and it will be working fine again even without compatibility modes. You have to start the game in fullscreen, but you can switch to windowed mode during runtime by pressing Alt+Enter -
This looks like the map you are trying to play is smaller than your chosen resolution which is resulting in some ghosting on the right side of the (unused) part of your screen. It's not actually a problem and should be playable (it just looks a bit weird...). To avoid such problems you can choose a lower game resolution or play bigger maps only.

How did you even get the CD version to work on windows 10 (it isn't supported...)? Did you download any patches or ddraw wrappers or did you install cncnet?
-
Oh well, would've been interesting so see the log file but it isn't that important. It's probably also not related to your main issue anyways, so it's fine. Did you try to copy the files from your C&C folder to your red alert folder? Still the same right-click bug? BTW, don't open the config program after you copied the two files over (it will delete them and restore the old ones...)
-
Oh, could you upload the ra95crash.dmp, would like to have a look into it (it's not supposed to crash, even if there is a issue with direct3d...) You could try to copy the files "ddraw.dll" and "ddraw.ini" from your C&C folder to your red alert folder, if that also doesn't work then we at least know the problem isn't related to the renderer. Other than that I don't really have any ideas now what else you could try

Never heard about such a problem... Just tried to reproduce it on win XP with a fresh installation but everything was working fine. Is there maybe any thrid party program running that somehow tried to capture the mouse input? If you continue to test then you should probably enable windowed mode in the config program, will be a lot easier to close the game like this!

You will start with a mobile construction vehicle, to be able to build something you'll have to deploy it somewhere. Just select it and then move the cursor over it and click to deploy
-
looks like a broken map, all crashes only happen on "PICO OLDPRO VERSION". Mabye there are multiple versions of this map and you hosted a unfinished one?
-
The crash looks weird, could be that some files are missing (just a guess...), I would try to reinstall the game.

added all channels to the list

You probably installed the multiplayer version (it doesn't contain the campaign). Make sure you click on "View all downloads" and then select Full Game: https://cncnet.org/command-and-conquer

Where did you install the game? Is there any weird char in the path? Try to start the game again via skirmish or multiplayer and then check if there is a file named "spawnmap.ini" in the game folder
-
I have no idea what it could be, try to change the peer-to-peer setting and play a few games and then report back if anything changed.

Don't think any of the TI staff is reading this forum, maybe try to post about it here: https://ppmforums.com/forum-466/twisted-insurrection/

There are different versions around, the older ones crash on newer versions of windows. What is the filename of the installer you used?

Don't think you will get an answer since there is no one working on the YR client anymore and/or they don't want to be associated with it. Maybe you know someone who could do it? code is here: https://github.com/CnCNet/xna-cncnet-client
