The guys around here are amazing, they might as well be wizards! I suppose none of em have a passion for RA2.

Thanks for contributing!

This whole community relies on the devs making the game work on modern machines/OS's, what seems to be the issue and why is that not happening?
-
Great! This is a start. X3m, the pay to win games sure are more effective at being addictive then the older games; totally agree there: I hope we can develop as a community if we talk about these things. Marsh, I can agree with that somewhat! Addiction is usually a complicated set of circumstances. Ignorance does exist!

I don't really know what to write here, but I am hoping that people will post their experiences with addiction and games, cncnet hosted games in particular; because thats just where we are.
-
Oh? Thats a shame.
-
As they said: Windows. Any cheap machine should be able to run these antique games.
-
XXxPrePxX, well I can't get anywhere without the community's support first. So this idea might go nowhere.
-
It may or it may not be, but its worth doing: Community growth includes assisting people not only in the fun parts, but in the confusing/complicated parts as well. If it was just a stickied thread, it might not be noticed. For such a topic we don't want people missing out on what help can be provided.

Well gaming addicting is a known condition, as well as other forms and expressions of addiction. After reading this thread I thought It would be a good idea if we faced that issue. A simple forum for people who are, have been and may be in that situation to share and find support among fellow gamers; nothing fancy.
-
I had lobbied for a new forum to cover the addictive nature of games in the spirit of collective/community assistance. If you would PM the admins/mods to add this to our community: That would be appreciated.

Marsh is right. Addiction is usually the sign of another problem you are running away from. I suggest some quiet time with your mind to see what you are dealing with.

Works great on mobiles!

Well you seem to be aware of your own situation; That is a start. Don't push yourself too hard, just do things slowly over a good bit of time.

There is a meta culture that exists to provide these kind of maps with life. These kind of maps exist for every game. They present a more abstract experience than maps made by the original designers. That abstractness is what attracts people, its akin to modern art. I personally think they do little good service to a game other then to reveal the decline of the game itself, needing these kind of maps to keep it alive. C&C95 needs a boost of life and new blood instead of arguements.

The more the merrier! (as they say).

Well, technically "CnC" is about machining and manufacturing.... We got a little ahead of ourselves and dropped the &.
-
You don't remove cncnet, cncnet removes you.

The problem with making changes is the downhill snowballing of counter-changes and audits that represent different players views of the game once you go down that road. It is best to leave a classic intact, even if it is a bit off under proper scrutiny.

Nice work, congratulations.

Shame, should be assimilated into CnCnet.
