Under [Options] put AltToRally=Yes

Sounds like you only need to install cncnet in your RA2 folder. https://cncnet.org/yuris-revenge#download

CnCnet crashes on start - client.log included
dkeeton replied to ChadMuskaProSkater's question in Support
Make sure that you have DirectX installed and that your graphics card drivers are up to date. -
You can make a random map. You have to do it with a text editor. Open the map file in notepad or something similar and edit the values how you like. Put the map in /Maps/Custom/ then restart the cncnet client. Here are some examples. http://mapdb.cncnet.org/ts/4251b164242784de7a0bf1ee1a8b8d59db131095.zip http://mapdb.cncnet.org/ts/195bc7663d93bdbc49d7cc5c20dbaed72c582db1.zip

Does this happen only on every map or just one?

What operating system? I think we discovered that some XP systems need openssl to be installed separately https://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html

Make sure that your antivirus software is not blocking clientdx.exe
-
What antivirus software do you use? Some will falsely flag clientdx.exe as a virus. You should make an exception to allow clientdx.exe.

New hotkeys are not available in the single player and ts-patch. Some people do control group then ff. Like tap 1,f,f to center team 1.
-
This is for cncnet multiplayer Tiberian Sun. The default is to not require alt for rally points (different from single-player/campaign) and to disable double tap. To enable Double tap, edit your SUN.INI file and add this to the [Options] section. DoubleTapInterval=30 Lower the number if you are getting accidental double-taps.

[TS] Game Crashes after adding new units?
dkeeton replied to zijin_cheng's topic in Modding Discussion
It's tough to know without seeing your except.txt file or your rules.ini file. Did your copy/paste/edit involve Microsoft Word. If so, don't do that. Upload those files if you still need help. -
Talk is cheap.

This is the best forum software I've ever used. Stop whining and get good.

They are the same. Both of you, check your version in the bottom right of the main menu and make sure you are both on 3.93.

You can try this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028443/windows-update-drivers-in-windows-10

Are you trying to play in window mode? Does it work for you in full screen mode?

Have you updated your graphics card drivers? Please get the newest drivers for your graphics card.

Make an exception for clientdx.exe http://www.getavast.net/support/managing-exceptions And then do this part from the website "Report a False Positive Detection to Avast"

What is a better unit to use? Tick Tank? or Titan?
dkeeton replied to XGalaxyZ's topic in Tiberian Sun
You should never spam tick tanks. You can build a small amount of tick tanks to defend your base, but mostly your want to use artillery and rocket infantry for defense against disruptors and titans. As GDI spamming titans is a good strategy. -
It looks Gaming_Spy is a part of Avast. Can you try disabling Avast Gaming Mode? http://techdows.com/2017/03/disable-avast-game-mode.html

You got some pretty harsh answers here. I generally don't answer questions about Windows or anti-viruses because I don't have much experience there. With that said, I think your antivirus is the primary cause of the problems. Some AV have taken to marking clientdx.exe as matching heuristic trojan patterns. This is a false alarm, the detection is probably based on the use of IRC and metadata obfuscation. (IRC is how WOL and XWIS and CnCNet connect players, but it can also be how botnets communicate with their controller) If you want to get things working correctly, I think you'll need to white-list clientdx.exe and gamemd-spawn.exe through your AV..

found a trojan virus in themental omega mod patch...
dkeeton replied to theetrueyoshi's question in Support
Looks like Azden.A!cl isn't a specific virus, it's Microsoft's machine learning AI virus predictor. So windows defender is just guessing that ares.dll is a virus. It's probably wrong.
