Can you force an update by going online one time. (You don't have to play a game).
-
This is not true. Most players are very sensitive to 60fps. See below: I believe the game was designed to be played at 60fps in online multiplayer. There was an interview with a Westwood developer who said that during play testing they found that players wanted to play at the highest game speed. This was even back in 1995. The novelty of seeing the animations wears off after a few dozen hours of game play.

Firestorm Defense does not defend against missiles on multiplayer
dkeeton replied to markf's topic in Tiberian Sun
Firestorm does not stop any missles or seeker. It will stop the cluster that fall from the multimissle, so if you wall up your firestorm generator it can't be killed by a multi-missle (but it still can be killed by 1 chemical missle). I also remember that it stopped all missles, but that's apparently wrong. And other people remember it correctly (Mandela effect?) -
How did you install? If you have cncnet installed then use it to go online to force an update and then go in to Tiberian Sun setting from the cncnet client and set the renderer to Automatic. If you don't have cncnet installed then install this https://downloads.cncnet.org/TSpatch.exe and do the same as above.

You need to update Yuri's Revenge. The version should be 4.08

You can install the single player campaign on to a portable USB drive from a computer with internet access.

I don't know. Maybe OBS would be better for you?

infantry units are too underpowered compared to tanks!
dkeeton replied to MapDesigner's topic in Red Alert 2
Why would barracks be the first production building? If the game was meant to be tanks only then why barracks first? Shouldn't they have just made the war factory available from the start? -
It might not work, but you can try to delete pm.wav, message.wav and button.wav

There are 183 Players Online right now.

This behavior doesn't exist in classic Tiberian Sun. It's been added in cncnet multiplayer TS exe. You have to edit the SUN.ini file and under the [Options] section add DoubleTapInterval=20 20 is the number of frames to listen for a double tapping a hotkey, that makes it 1/3rd of a second at 60fps. This only works online, it won't work for the single player campaign. Alt+0 should work, it works for me. You can also do 1,f,f to center a team.

Points are almost the same as xwis except you will get a few extra points that's based on your Elo, (between 4-20). And you can't lose more than 10% of your points in one match and you won't lose as many points to players who have less than 10 games.

If nothing else works, try to set your VM to have only one CPU/Core.

Are you using left click to give orders?

You can try searching by changing the url here http://mapdb.cncnet.org/search.php?game=yr&age=0&search=glowing

Yes it's the renderer, it will be fixed in the next udpate.

Using a Chrono Miner to block units from exiting an enemy war factory is considered a cheat and will trigger disciplinary action if done in a ladder match.

That log does not have an attempted login in it. Can you take a screenshot?
-
The the cncnet YR client uses DirectDX. I guess you were able to tell is is the game itself and not the client. ...But you could still be wrong because ts-ddraw uses opengl and you'll get a white screen if the OpenGL drivers are too old.
-
Can you upload you qm-log file? from QM/qm-log.txt
-
First thing is to make sure you graphics card drivers are up to date and you have the latest directx drivers installed.
