Hosting own tournament games just isn't in scope of the main client. If someone wanted to add this, they would need to put in a pull request to the source on GitHub. I did start some work towards the badges feature in August. If you remember the friends feature, this pull request added new functionality for multiple icons alongside a players name in the online list. This now allows us to place in badges when the logic around displaying them is ready. As for how the badges will magically appear next to peoples names and know it's the right person, the idea I was discussing with dkeeton back in August was to show badges without the need for logging into the main client. You would only ever need to login to the QM client once on your PC, and theoretically never need to open it again in order to show your badges in the main client.

There's an option in the client to disable those messages. I'd imagine that should be able to be turned off by default. Overall nice suggestions Prep, I would like to see most of those at some point, like everyone.

Not too sure, maybe a windows notification (like discord chat, skype etc) possibly cause it ? -

How is alting taken now with are changes to it? Is it still used just as much or less? How opposed would people be to have MultiEngineer on for a month to trial it?

Multi engineer was never an original game option in YR. You can check for your self by loading up gamemd.exe or Yuri.exe

Not sure I follow, where was I comparing XWIS to CnCNet Zain? Maybe I wasn't clear, I was saying... XWIS also processes a report the same way we do, if there is no conclusive evidence, no action is taken.

Hi Prep - there was inconclusive evidence on this report of pushing. We're not going to start handing out bans or ladder resets or whatever the punishment would have been, if we can't conclusively prove it, despite how obvious it may appear to some. On some comment I saw somewhere, "on XWIS it would be proven", is also rubbish. When I was working with XWIS in the time I was there, it was always about conclusive evidence, in this case, there was not.

Yep you are right. There are a lot of maps. I think more of a client side map cheat detection is going to have be thought about more than a whitelist. How possible and feasible that is yet is still unknown, yet to be R&D'd.

Have you tried running Default? That will not include a renderer when you play (and will replicate what you are experiencing when you play without CnCNet)

It seems to be a bug indeed and hoepfully one we can resolve soon. You did the right thing by killing the DTA client in the task manager to proceed with the update. Logged it in our issue tracker: https://github.com/CnCNet/xna-cncnet-client/issues/84

Hello, If you are experiencing slow or choppy gameplay whilst playing on CnCNet, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. Install the CnCNet client (Skip to step 3 if already installed) This will look for your existing game directory. Once installed run CnCNetYRLauncher.exe or the shortcut supplied. Click "Options" Select "Display" and under the render options, select a new renderer. Commonly, Automatic works best. Click Save, and launch Skirmish. Play a game with the AI. If the gameplay is fast then this renderer will likely be the best for you. If it hasn't worked, repeat from step 5 until you find a renderer that works best with your system. Failing the above, ensure your video drivers are up-to-date. You are running a suitable resolution the game can handle.

Chem, it's important that our efforts as a community here at CnCNet are there supporting Jim, EA and everyone behind the C&C Remaster journey as much as possible. The C&C community is really starting to rally behind the Remaster, let's focus on giving as much input as possible, especially since the CnCNet community holds priceless information with the Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert games. We're a big part of the C&C community as it stands, thus we're going to be here to supporting the Remaster efforts and C&C franchise for the foreseeable future.
