  1. Thanks for pointing it out.
  2. Sometimes it's caused by a game bug where quitting from the menu displays a disconnect to the other player.
  3. PS: If Seke claims who he is and starts playing, I can vouch for him. An intelligent and mature guy who knows how to conduct himself, friendly too.
  4. It's been locked to yellow & red since the loading screen censorship update that hid the names and faction. I was thinking of making some unit skins, but only the player owning them would be able to see them. Unless one of the developers can figure out a way to make it visible to all.
  5. The issue with custom colours is that if you set a player colour to be brown, purple, black, dark red, then it can be very difficult to visualise those colours on the mini-map display. Which is why I recommended custom colours on the player's side only. After all it's you who wants to see your army a different colour.
  6. I hacked to get custom colours. @Grant This is possible by displaying the changes only on user side.
  7. Did have the same problem, I've enabled the score screen skip since then. (months ago).
  8. Indeed we need more maps without starting games! Why? These kind of things are part of the map developing process. Use the map-renderer to get a quick idea of a map's lighting, though it's not as accurate as in game. Try using these Scripts to make your life easier, one makes the light posts very subtle and smooth, the other you can edit with notepad to automate adding an author. b Both need to be copied to Final Alert 2's "scripts" folder in its installation directory. You can tweak the light post values by opening the map file with notepad and searching the top section of the map file for the entries. You can get similar results to these, note the glow on the ore and gems.
  9. TL; DR! Fuck this, I'm going to sleep, pain-body needs some rest. ?
  10. Move gems closer to cliffs, directly under, to make the cliffs more strategic. Replace one oil with paradrop. Improve detail with some nice lighting, looks good though.
  11. The RA1 client is more advanced! ?
  12. There are similar issues with certain players not seeing games hosted on some tunnels or being unable to join... etc IMO these issues are the most detrimental to CnCNet and should be a priority, unfortunately I wouldn't know where in the system the issue lies or how to fix it.
  13. Edit the rendered map preview image in an image editor > convert to a map preview with XCC mixer > Insert preview text into map file via notepad? You can also use the Author= tag under the [Basic] Section of a map, which gets displayed in cncnet. Open other maps and check the file with notepad or in the map editor to find out how others do things.
  14. That's a troll post if I ever saw one.
  15. By playing on the highest resolution or by removing the speed setting? ?
  16. Interesting game mode.
  17. I will have to try them out first.
  18. This has always been possible, so just look out for the map download notification when you join.
  19. Don't play modified maps, just play games where original maps are used, simple as that. If the lobby shows a message that a map has been transferred then it's modified by someone and that can include rule file sections.
  20. The XWIS version of YR works fine @ 2560 x 1440. Without any ddraw.dll on Windows 10 Pro x64, besides missing menu buttons.

    HELPPP

    Are you playing mod maps?
  22. Yeah, it's been months since ladder opening, these alpha release bugs should have been fixed by now.
  23. Yeah, true, just another Iraq vs Iraq 1v1 tournament. Though I wouldn't mind commentating together with @Win4ester over discord as he streams.
  24. Caverns of Siberia, Snow Valley, Depth Charge
  25. Love it how the map pool consists only of Soviet favored maps. Perhaps allow the Yuri faction and use the tournament game mode?
